This just in! We have some wonderful new items to tell you about!
The fair trade items we carry are hand made by artisans around the world who use sustainable products to create amazing, one of a kind, works of art.
From Kenya we have many new animal figurines & bowls. These pieces are hand-carved & etched from soapstone. The soapstone is called Kisii, for the region it is mined in.
Adorable, rosewood frog paperclip/bookmarks from Indonesia.
From Bangladesh, terra cotta snails (as well as owls, birds & frogs) are watering spikes for plants. Also handcrafted from terra cotta is this whitewashed “birds on a branch” candleholder.
Ceramics from Vietnam include beautiful, useful items such as the measuring spoons & this stacked teapot with 2 cups. Lots of other styles & designs of mug are also available. Lacquer-ware river rocks take up to 90 days to create & come in three designs. They can be used as a paperweight or just an amazing piece of art.
New glass lanterns, tiny white, beaded chests, wooden curiosity boxes with ceramic drawer fronts, cream metal cutout trays & tree candle holders all come from India.
From Thailand we have this amazing puzzle block made of wood. We have many more wooden puzzles & games to confound & frustrate even the most seasoned expert. Earrings made from butterfly wings (no butterflies were hurt to make earrings) & resin are an amazing addition to our Thai products!
The last item is Brenda. Ladies in Zimbabwe knit these adorable animal keychains. Each one has a name & includes a photo of the knitter with her name. They also come in larger sized ‘stuffies’.
We work with many fair trade organizations to bring an amazing assortment of products to our store. We hope that you will drop in & experience all that our shoppe has to offer!
